What age should my child start swimming?
The sooner the better like anything, building a strong immune system and confidence in the water is pivotal in development.
My child is scared, had a bad experience or has personal issues, should they come?
Yes! Everybody is different and is unique in every way, we all develop in our own time. At EC Sportz we are patient and will work with everyone.
What’s involved in your swim program?
EC Sportz uses 20-years experience in surf and pool swim teaching, life guarding, water sports and fitness with certification and registration with Fitness Australia, Royal Lifesaving and Austswim we deliver a modern program for all levels and abilities in swimming, fitness and strength development.
How much, how long and what days?
We have a weekly ongoing direct debit system where the cost of the term is paid over time instead of upfront like a rollover/Afterpay setup e.g cost of a ten week term divided and paid over 12 weeks. Active rebate vouchers provides credited weeks in this case equaling six lessons per voucher. The school will also suspend classes in the event of required closures. Lessons are 30 minutes, dates are the same as NSW school term dates with days/availabilities can be given upon request.
Are there makeup lessons available?
Our school is the first to offer learn To Swim Membership with weekly Direct Debits which can be suspended with 1 weeks notice given meaning no makeups required. We understand things happen but we also must work with everyone and manage our business.
Are there private lessons?
Once the payment is managed by weekly direct debit you can arrange your own group or private lesson to suit your needs, prices will vary pending participants as we must cover costs.
Can my kids or friends do the same time lesson?
If the numbers, ages and abilities of the students work yes but water safety and teaching quality are first priorities.
Is there adult lessons?
Yes, group and private can be arranged.
My kids can swim but need a refresher or more work can they join in?
Everyone can always learn and develop more, our program is structured to sport academy standards meaning everything we do helps development in any sport or personal performance.

Where is the pool facility?
60 Rosemont St Wollongong, Green Building. The saltwater chlorinated pool is indoor, 20 metres, 34c, and has bathrooms and wheelchair access.
What is involved with your Gym Kids Program?
Our Gym classes involve after school classes for Primary school kids. Activities involve Parkour, Gymnastics, Boxing, Running, Ball games and Skills, Flexibility, Strength, Motivation, Fun, General Fitness, Sports Conditioning, Technique, Social Skills. Our Adult and Teen classes also involve ALL this including Aqua MATS on a weekly timetable.
How much is GYM Classes and How long is a class?
You can join the Kids Swim and Gym Term package on direct debit or pay upfront also using your Child’s ACTIVE AND CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER from the nsw government to gain $100 off per voucher. Lessons are for 45 minutes give or take the group numbers and intensity. Timetables are released each School Holidays and any cancelled classes are released by text, email and social media. ***Bookings essential before any class***
Where is GYM Kids?
Foleys Lane Wollongong which is the Wollongong Tafe, please drive down the car park, let the ticket booth person know you are there for Gym Kids. Kids can remain out the front or Gym Reception until class starts.
Can I do a workout whilst I’m at the pool or gym?
Parents with older kids can use both Dragon Fit or Physical Therapy Gym with either fitness Passport or casual paid entry.
Is there a free trial class?
Sorry we don’t do free trials as we back our service, first class is always the hardest for anyone so you can’t judge fairly, we offer a proven, healthy, fun, required life skills and development which takes time to build up.
