Policies

Public Health & Safety

The health and safety of our students are always our top priority. We have a strict policy that all students who have recently had diarrhoea or vomiting must not attend swim school for at least 7 days after the last episode.

We also ask that any students who have had any contagious illness, such as chickenpox, hand, foot and mouth disease, impetigo or who have had any recent head lice, to not attend swim school until they have been cleared by a medical professional.

If your child has any cuts or grazes, we ask that you please apply a waterproof plaster before their swim lesson.

These are measures we take to maintain a clean and safe environment for all of our students.

Missed Lessons

We understand that sometimes things come up and you may need to miss a lesson. If this happens, please let us know as soon as possible so we can give you a Make-Up Lesson Voucher. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of that particular lesson, as we don’t offer refunds for any lessons that are missed.

Swim Nappy

Children 3 years under and children 3 years above who aren’t fully toilet trained must wear an aqua nappy at all times while in the pool. Failure to do so will result in the child not being able to participate in the class.

Lost Property

Any lost property will be stored in the office. Please check with a staff member if you have lost any belongings.

Change Room

We have a strict policy regarding the use of our change rooms.

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the change room
  • Children must be completely dressed before leaving the change room
  • No food or drink is allowed in the change rooms

Photography

We understand that many people like to take photos or videos of their child swimming. We also know that posting these online can be a great way to share your child’s progress with family and friends. We do ask, however, that you please seek permission from a staff member before taking any photos or videos in the facility.

Parental Supervision

At EC Sportz, we believe that parents play an important role in their child's swimming journey. That's why we require that all children under the age of 10 be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while on our premises. This policy is in place for the safety and well-being of all our swimmers.

This policy applies to both parents and guardians. If you are a parent, you are responsible for supervising your child at all times. If you are a guardian, you are responsible for supervising the child or children in your care at all times .
